• Rental Property Records: Property civic addresses, unit numbers, ownership percentages (co-ownership / partnership splits), and acquisition dates.
• Financial & Expense Documents: Uploaded digital receipts, supplier invoices, property tax notices, utility bills, mortgage interest statements, and bank feed transaction histories.
• CRA Form T776 Output Data: Categorized line-item totals (Lines 8521 to 9281), Capital Cost Allowance (CCA) asset classes, motor vehicle mileage logs, and audit trail packets.

The Canada Revenue Agency requires landlords to maintain supporting books and records for statutory review periods. LeaseLogs structures storage to assist with these obligations:

• Encrypted Digital Archives: Uploaded receipts and generated T776 line items are preserved in encrypted digital vaults to help you meet multi-year CRA documentation requests.
• Industry-Standard Encryption: All communications utilize modern cryptographic protocols (TLS) in transit, and database volumes are encrypted at rest.
• Data Hosting & Trusted Processors: Primary database records and file repositories are hosted on dedicated infrastructure located in Ontario, Canada. Where necessary to provide core services (such as payment processing via Stripe or AI document parsing), data is transmitted strictly over secure channels to verified third-party processors adhering to rigorous security standards.

5Your Rights Under Canadian Law

Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy statutes, you possess explicit rights regarding your personal information:

• Right of Access: You may request a complete export of all raw receipts, ledgers, and transaction records at any time in standardized formats (PDF / CSV / JSON).
• Right of Rectification: You may update or correct inaccurate property or financial details directly within your LeaseLogs workspace.
• Account Deletion & Data Purge: Upon account termination, you may request permanent deletion of all stored data, subject to your own CRA statutory document retention requirements.
